Can't install nvidia drivers in windows 7?

Hi all.

I upgraded my Sony Vaio laptop VGN FZ21S recently to windows 7. Everything went smooth but when I checked the device manager I noted that for the graphic card driver, I had only something called "Standard generic display driver" (Or something similar to that). This was ok for your basic stuff. But wouldn't be no where near nvidia for hardware acceleration or active x

So I tried to download nvidia drivers from nvidia site and sony vaio site. Downloaded. But windows 7 didn,t allow me to install it !

It simply couldn't recognize the hardware. As always I tried several forums and other internet places for help. There were several suggestions. None did help, no matter how many times I did it. So frustating.

Some how I did it on my own. Here is how ......

When you upgrade to win 7 as a clean sweep, windows will make a folder knwon as "Windows.old" under Local C. This contains all your programes. files and drivers you used in vista. This is a snap shot view of my folder

When you open drivers folder under C:windows.old/windows/drivers, you will see all of your old drivers

Now go to device manager and use "Upgrade driver" Under display divices

It will now install the vista driver which will solve the problem. You will be able to upgrade all of the drivers for other divices like audio, mouse, ethernet etc.. replacng the windows 7 inbuilt equavalants.

I am not a it geek. But I know there are lots of guys frustated with the same problem. This is me sharing my success hoping atleast someone out there would see this and benifit from this.

Thanks

If you have seen this just make a comment. It's nice to know if I have helped somebody

Good luck with your windows 7

Polonnaruwa Gal viharaya

This 12th century marval is believed to be built by King Parakramabahu's architects. They excavated the shrines out of natural granite and left an in script describing their work.

Galvihara also known as Uttararamaya (Nothern Temple) is situated in Polonnaruwa, the ancient kingdom in north central Sri Lanka, founded by king Vijayabahu and refined to its excellence by Great Parakramabahu, Nissanka Malla and many others .Galviharaya is the central attraction amongst all the other remaining ruins.

Samadhi Statue

This statue is a real artistic creation showing Buddhas meditation posture. The seat Buddha has sat on is decorated with various fine carvings giving the expression that he meditates in a temple. Surrounding Granite shows some signs of previously existed shades/roffing to this shrine.

Standing Statue

This statue is we ft in height and stands on a lotus throne. Mostly owing to its rare posture of hands folded on the chest and expression of sorrow on the face some historians believe that this is a statue of Ananda thero, Buddhas closest disiple, weeping over Buddhas Parinirvana.
However historians disagree with this interpretation argue that this is indeed Buddha who is paying homage to the Bodhi tree in the 2nd week after the enlightenment. The finest details on Buddhas clothes and the body features gives us an idea about the talent and the patience of the creator, The natural rippling of the granite which goes across the statue adds considerably to its uniqueness.

Reclining Buddha

Slight drawing back of the upper foot on top of the lower one indicates this 46 ft long statue represents the Parinirvana posture of Buddha. Here again the natural colour variations of the granite has added extra beauty to the statue. The tenderness with which the artist has carved the statue is quite obvious on the details. Even the fine details like subtle depression of the pillow under the weight of the head is nicely shown to give the statue a real life appearance.

In between the statue is placed the famous inscription carved on a flat slab of granite describing King Parakramabahu's works.

The skills and the geometrical knowledge of the artist is quiet obvious just looking at these creations. Withstanding centuries of rain and droughts these statues still stand majestically, shining a proud light on all of us Sri Lankans.

Acrylic Painting- there's nothing to it

I am basically writing this blog to encourage you all who are waiting to start on painting. What you can see above is my first ever acrylic painting. here. I used to do lot of paintings when I was a school boy, about 20 yrs back. This is my first revisit to the field. I think I have done justice to the picture here.

Before starting I spent month researching into acrylic painting, reading books browsing internet etc. Believe me it doesn't give you much help. Main thing is YOU JUST START DOING IT. Until you get the feel you will not get the confidence. Once you start, things will start coming.

Bottom line is if you are hoping to start on painting go to the shop buy your stuff and start doing it. You will be surprised to see how good you are. I loved it and enjoyed. I am not gonna look back now.

When you buy the brushes buy soft quality brushes. When you buy your first set of colors it might help you to buy all in one packages which will have a palette, palette knife, varnish etc. Then it will give you a good safe start. Then you can build upon that.

Any advices needed, I am at your service

SONY is good enough for me!

Ever since my first tv, which I bought 20 yrs back, when ever I bought an electronic gadget Sony was the first choice. My house is stuffed with various Sony products. Bravia TV, PS3, DVD player, Camcorder they all are Sony.

Then came Sony Vaio, as one of the top shelf products amongst other laptop brands. Naturally I went for it. It was ok. I was happy. But recently it started giving me all sorts of graphical problems. Blank screens, blue screens, multi color strips.....then it suddenly died on me.

I browsed through the internet and very soon found out this is a very well known problem amongst some of vaio ranges. A bad problem a very bad one. This was because of a faulty nvidia graphic card.I was scared because I was no longer within warranty.
A proper repair would cost me an unbearable amount. Then I saw Sony has finally admitted this problem and offered to repair the
laptops with the problem within 4 years of purchase.

I spoked to Sony customer service with all the doubts in my head. Friendly people they were and they said they will repair it. Still I was doubtful. Then they arranged for DHL to collect it and recalled the laptop. Still I was in doubt.

They kept me in touch with text and few days after told me I need a whole motherboard replacement. Thats it! I thought. They will send me a big bill now.

Then the miracle happened. My Vaio came back today. All repaired and with a new mother board. Even had a surface clean looking like new.

I looked for the bill, then found a A4 paper.

But it was not a bill but a letter apologising for my inconvenience. How cool is that?.

I was all prepared to ruin there name as much as I could if things go wrong. Instead here I am writing in my blog praising them. They have proven me wrong. Well done Sony !

If anybody have a problem with there Vaio graphics do not hesitate to contact them. They live up to their standard. Good people they are !

This is the official Sony announcement

A statement from Sony, dated August 4th 2009, reads as follows:

"In July 2008, Nvidia publicly acknowledged a failure associated with some of their graphics processors (GPU) due to a manufacturing defect in the graphics chip packaging. At that time Sony and Nvidia jointly investigated whether Vaio models equipped with this GPU were impacted by the issue. This investigation revealed that the issue had not occurred in such Vaio models.

"However, after closely monitoring the situation, Sony has now determined that a very small percentage of computers with the Nvidia graphics chips may be affected.

"These PCs may exhibit distorted video, random characters or a blank screen due to failure of the Nvidia graphics chips.

"As part of our commitment to quality, for any customer who requires repair of their Vaio due to the Nvidia graphics processor issue, Sony will cover the cost of repair (parts and labour) at no charge during the first four years following the date of purchase of the models in question (see list below).

"In case your model is shown in the list below, we invite you to contact Vaio support to arrange service for your Viao."

Here's the list of Sony Vaio models affected:

VGN-FZ11x, VGN-FZ18x, VGN-FZ21x, VGN-FZ31x, VGN-FZ38x,

VGN-AR11x, VGN-AR21x, VGN-AR31x,

Iphone Glass and LCD Repair

Hi everybody.

This is just to help somebody who is out there who needs some advice and convincing on how to replace the broken glass and the LCD in iphone.

I have a 3G iphone which I must say is such a useful gadget to have. To me iphone is the ultimate phone, organizer and many more.

Unfortunately one common thing that could happen to your iphone is the damage to the digitalizing glass the LCD following a fall. Sometimes one fall is enough to cause such damage. It will look horrible if this happen and you'll get dead scared.Just take a look at this picture !.

Most of the time with the broken glass you may end up damaging the LCD screen as well adding more to your misery. If that happens it will look something like this.
As most of us would do I contacted Apple for possible repair/replacement for my phone since I was still in my warranty .
Guess what !.....
The Glass and the LCD is NOT COVERED with your warranty. To repair them the charge was over £200/=.
Now I for one was determined to not to pay this very unfair charges even if I have to throw the phone away. You know what I did? I DID IT MY SELF !. And I will advice you to do the same. IT IS DOABLE. My phone looks as a new one now.
This is what you should do.
1. Do some googling and search in you tube. There are lot of advices in the format of images and videos. There are many ways of doing it. But this video shows the way I did and I think it is the easiest way.

2. Search in ebay for the required parts. Make sure you buy genuine parts. Not the low quality stuff coming from Hong Kong China etc.

3. Make sure you buy the glass together with the digitalizer. NOT separately

4. For the glass make sure you buy the ADHESIVE STICKERS.

5. Choose a nice and peaceful time to do this . It is handy to have somebody near you to help you and to give second opinions.

Before you start rehearse the steps in your mind few times. Then take a few deep breaths and get on with it
The procedure is nerve wracking but enjoyable.
Do not loose the small screws. you wont be able to find them.
Try to handle the electronic parts minimally.

Don't let some other idiots to profit by your mistakes. Do it your self
If I can, you can also do it !

Happy to help if you have any questions. e mail me

The way you make me feel

Ever since I got the news of Michael Jackson's tour, I was always on the look out for a ticket. It was a dream to see him in action. I am sure it's a dream of everybody who enjoyed 80's music.
But it was a dream which was never lived to be true.

I woke up this morning to the news of his death. The man who lived in a world far far away from me made my heart sink for a while.

Now, I am not a crazy fan of MJ. I don't have his posters on my walls, not even have a single CD of him with me. But we grew up with him as kids in 80's

When we learnt to dance as pumped up teens, we tried to moon walk. Desperately tried to sing his songs imitating his unique voice in vein. Not to mentions the phrases of his songs we quoted to decorate our sweet love letters back then.
As most of the stars overwhelmed by wealth and fame would do, he also went crazy. MJ I saw as a teen, was not there anymore when I became a grown man. Nevertheless his talent and creativity stayed true to his reputation.

He was the greatest entertainer in our time. There may have been better singers and better dancers. But nobody could mix both talents together to entertain us like he did.He was a real genius of what he was doing. No matter what people say and how crazy he is, nobody can take that away from him.

To me he was a great ambassador of our time and a real music legend. When people label him as the King of the Pop I agree with them 100%. Sold 65 millions of copies of Thriller and stayed under the spot light for 45 years, out of his 50 living years ! That is enough to justify that title.

Michael Jackson, This little note is to thank you for what you have done for music and to bid you farewell. May you rest in peace !

Listen to the words of the man who lost his childhood........

Prodigle sons and daughters

I had the chance to meet a hardcore LTTE sympathizer few days back. In fact you could call him an ex LTTE member 'cause he was actively involved in pro LTTE activities like collecting ransom money, in the past in his prime times. Now he is a man in his 50s and runs a small time grocery in South Wales.

My first question to him was "what happened to LTTE ?", in a quiet sarcastic way I must admit.

He went really ballistic and answered my one line question with a thousand lines answer. He was obviously upset and furious ! I could not comprehend most of his out burst. From what I gathered, for him Prabhakaran is not dead ! Apparently it's just a part of the plan. According to him he is still well alive and safe and planning the future of the Tamils. He still believes in an Eelam and not happy to recognize the central government as the governing body of Sri Lanka.

Even if we destroy thousand Prabhakarans or annihilate thousand LTTE terrorist gangs these people will never change. Even though labeled as Tamils the diaspora tamils are totally different to our Sri Lankan Tamils in there thinking and attitude. They are driven by hate and vengeance.

Look at these people. Are they truly representing the poor Tamils in Sri Lanka? Has this girl ever being to Sri Lanka? I wonder! All they are worried about is their own well being. Most of these people settled down in UK and other countries as refugees. To maintain their jolly life they need a war in Sri Lanka. That's all they are worried about.

These people are not Sri Lankans anymore. They burn our flag. Demand others to boycott Sri Lanka. These people are the real enemies of Sri Lanka. All these photos should be fed to the Sri lankan intelligence database and they should be banned from entering our country in the future.

It is governments responsibility to look after the innocent Tamils in Sri Lanka and we should make every effort to win their trust which we lost in the past. That is the only way to rise as a one nation, one country. More importantly that is the best way to silence these worthless and ungrateful Tamil diaspora.

Answer to Times allegation on Sri Lankan casualties

Following article gives the answers the Times allegation on Sri Lankan civilian casualties.Times article (refer to my post-Sri Lanka, UK's biggest enemy) catagorically mentioned that their figure of 20000, as the death toll, was based on UN report. Here the UN it self denying the knowladge of any such report or such number. Yet again Times is proven to be based on false figures to attack Sri Lankan government enviously. Shame on you!

Lets wait and see what Times have to say about this

UN did not underestimate Sri Lanka death toll: Ban

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) — UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Monday categorically rejected allegations the world body had deliberately underestimated the death toll in the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka.

"I categorically reject -- repeat categorically -- any suggestion that the United Nations has deliberately underestimated any figures," he told the UN General Assembly.

He was reacting to press reports citing confidential UN reports that more than 20,000 civilians were killed by Sri Lankan army shelling.

"In regard to some reports in the media, I should emphasize that the final total is not yet known," the UN secretary general said. "Most of these figures do not emanate from the UN and most are not consistent with the information at our disposal."

Ban however made it clear that "whatever the total, the casualties in the conflict were unacceptably high -- as I have also said repeatedly."

Saturday, the London-based Amnesty International called for an independent probe into the number of civilians killed in the final weeks of Sri Lanka's civil war and also urged the UN to reveal its own estimates.

The call by the rights group followed a report in the Times of London newspaper on Friday citing confidential UN reports that more than 20,000 civilians were killed by Sri Lankan army shelling.

Commenting on the report, UN spokeswoman Michele Montas told a press briefing Monday: "The number of 20,000 is not a UN number."

She said she checked with UN officials in Colombo earlier in the day and the response was that "they have absolutely no idea where that number came from."

The Times of London report followed weeks of allegations that large numbers of civilians had been killed as the Sri Lankan army closed in on Tamil Tiger rebels and finally crushed the 30-year-old insurgency by the separatist Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) last month.

Amnesty's Asia Pacific director Sam Zarifi accused both sides of war crimes and called for an independent international probe.

The Colombo government, which has rejected demands by the UN Human Rights Council for a fact-finding mission on the war crimes allegations, on Friday angrily dismissed the Times report.

"These figures are way out," Sri Lankan defense ministry spokesman Lakshman Hulugalle said. "We totally deny the allegation that 20,000 people were killed."

Amnesty said, however, that it continued to receive reports of widespread human rights violations, with more than 280,000 people displaced by the recent fighting and now restricted to state-run welfare camps in the island's north.

Sri Lanka.. UK's Biggest Enemy

From The Times - May 29, 2009Times photographs expose Sri Lanka’s lie on civilian deaths at beach(s0 they say)

link to the original article-http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article6383477.ece

This is the latest allegation used by UK media against the Sri Lankan government(SLG), with whom they are engaged in a fierce media war at the moment.

The way they behave and the amount of resources and power they use against SLG, makes one wonder, whether UK consider Sri Lanka as their biggest enemy in the world at this moment !. They carry out their attacks against SLG with such vengeance and arrogance.

In this offence against SLG, Times plays a major role as the front line brigade. This fact is so obvious for anybody who is following UK media, with regard to the Sri Lankan conflict.

Most of the times, knowingly they used fabricated reports and digital media, which were spread across the globe by late LTTE or pro-late LTTE propaganda machines. Also they kept there eyes and ears closed to the news which were in favour of SLG. Many a times there stories back fired and they were left in open naked, owing to false facts and figures they relied upon. But when it comes to bias reporting the UK media has no shame..

Have a look at their latest find. Just read the topic. They are so sure that SLG has lied about the civilian deaths and here they are proving it with their own little investigation. They have exposed everything ! Read their own words....

"An investigation by The Times into Sri Lanka’s civilian casualties, which was conducted in a week-long visit to Sri Lanka — has found evidence of a civilian death toll of 20,000, almost three times that cited previously. The majority perished under government guns."

For the sake of all of us, they have reached a nice round figure of 20,000 as civilian casualties. How convenient is that !.

And they give a breakdown of casualties as shown below, according to the injuries and worked out how many were killed by each party.

*January 2% gunshot wounds ( Caused by late LTTE) 80% shelling (Caused by SLG)
*February 15% gunshots 64% shelling

And then it goes on and on ........ what a laugh !

They have counted only the deaths caused by firearms. What about the innocents who were hacked to death and burnt alive in NFZ when they tried to escape? (Refer to my post "Define Human" http://harshajayman.blogspot.com/2009/03/definehuman.html)

How practical is this approach? And where did these data come from. Any reliable source? They must have had separate units of audit and census staff in the battle field. Intentions are clear. Any fool who comes up with some numbers, as long as they embarrass the SLG, they will use it. May be the direct orders from David Miliband.

And then they have these photos which they have captured during Ban ki Moon's recent visit to Sri Lanka. Very keenly they have got these photographs analyzed by some "military experts".
According to them, Figure 2 shows a place where the slain late LTTE members were buried. Figure 1 is showing the "mass civilian grave yards". Just by looking at those photos their "experts" have assessed the number of people died and most hilariously, who has killed them.
The slide show (click to watch) has 13 photographs and they clearly show how the late LTTE has kept the civilians as a human shield. Also they show late LTTE gun points, heavy artillery, vehicles and their command posts placed in NFZ. They were very careful not to mention any of these in their article. That's the motto. No matter what, don't blame the LTTE ! ( How ever, I later found out that these were briefly mentioned within a millisecond during the narration in the video footage)
So, armoured with these mere speculations they are yet again pointing the finger at SLG. Job well done, Miliband will say! Why are they so geared up to do this? Is it jealousy, that we as a nation did something that they couldn't even dream of doing or is it just fear, that they will loose there "Democratic big brother" status over the small nations?
The trend in the world, with regard to the conflict in Sri Lanka, is changing. It is changing in favour of Sri Lanka. The nations who frontiered together with UK and US are changing their stances now. Some willingly and others not so willingly, either support the SLG or rolling into a neutral position.
UK, on the other hand is still continuing with their onslaught.Refusing to change and refusing to accept the facts. The fact that they couldn't intimidate us via Miliband convoy, has insulted their arrogance very badly.(Poor Miliband, didn't he get some good treat from Gotabhaya!) That's why this has become so personal and that's why it is difficult for them to change. But they will change!. When they get isolated and cornered, they will change.
Until then the UK media will keep on entertaining us with their jokes and bailas. Read them and spice them up a little with your comments.Enjoy their jokes but break their theories. Write back fight back. It will make a difference!
Till next time.....

Do what you can to help them

YES WE DID IT!

How to fight terrorism and insurgents ? Come and ask from Sri Lankans, ask from Mahinda and Gotabhaya.

History was made. There was never a nation who could defeat terrorism completely with total annihilation. So many fights fought, battles won in the world. But not a single war was won by a one single nation before.

We Sri Lankans did it ! We've set the standards! We've set the examples !

In the future all over the world people will refer to Sri Lanka to study about warfare. Names of our great war thinking tanks, will be mentioned. Our great novel military strategies will be discussed and analyzed over and over. Bravery of our foot soldiers will be appraised.

Mahihinda Rajapaksha......

The man who made all the difference. Such a commitment. Such a passion for the motherland!. More than winning the war what amazes me is how this man stood  his ground against all the pressure. That it self will make him the best.

We are a nation which was betrayed by our own leaders. All of our past leaders thought about the war. But nobody had guts to stand against the western world. They shivered and betrayed the nation, with the tail between their legs when ever US or UK come and shout at them. Such cowards and pimps ! Even now at this victorious movement I am sure that Ranil is on the phone with Norway to get advices to bring down Mahinda.

When Mahinda came to power and got his brothers around him people talked about the Rajapaksha Brothers Company.
UNP wanted Gotabhaya out of the scene.

Well look What they have done ? Look how right Mahinda was. Brothers are the safest possible people to keep around for a King considering the quality of politicians we have. They are not just brothers. They are capable brothers who prove the point with their success. Basil is currently doing an excellent job of  lifting up the conditions in rural areas. I saw it with my own eyes last in April when I was in SL. Well I don't have to  go into details about Gotabhaya. But I just like to remind everybody how he dealt with Milliband. Man has got a real Sri Lankan back bone !

For the sake of our country right people were at the right jobs at the right times. Mahinda was blessed with these Tri service commanders who believed in targets than money to be at his right hand . We all know the quality of most of our military commanders who were there in the past. Corruption was up to the nose with them. If we had people like that in the office the it would have been bit difficult for Mahinda.

And then these guys.... Our own flesh and blood !

Well what can I tell about them. No words to describe there bravery.
Now we all know how the western world fight wars. Send a search team, get the GPS position, blow'em with bombs and shells. The coward way of doing it! British teams in Afghanistan now have trained dogs with cameras on their heads instead of 8 men teams !

Our boys fought a brutal  battle face to face with the enemy. As we all know the latter part of the war was fought completely with small arms with no artillery or air cover.

Numerous earth bunds, Km long open fields, Suicide attackes, bombs, shells, rains against all odds they won the war for us in the best possible way. They sacrificed there own lives limbs and eyes all for us, for our children for a better Sri Lanka.
I humbly bow my head to your my friends....

Together as a nation ..... Yes we did it!

Obama, Hilary, Brown, Miliband.... well we can understand your frustration. We as a small nation has achieved something extra ordinary which you can't even dream of achieving despite of having all the military power in the world.

Also it is pretty obvious why you are taking this issue so personally. It is not because you care about Tamil rights, no.... It is purely because you are furious that we are not intimidated by you anymore. Mahinda has shown the way for other small nations like us how to evade your arrogance. We have better friends now.

You always talk about terrorism and we have shown you how to deal with them. Stop your anger and enviousness against us and join us in the fight against terrorism.

After all thats what they say....If you can't beat them, join them.......

Tamils, hate and love

I still can remember....
Shocking news of the murder of 13 soldiers by Tamil separatists in Jaffna, hit us like a bomb. That was July 1983, well known as Black July.

People were on to the roads in no time to share their opinion and mostly their anger. Amongst them was me as a 14 yr old with my father.

No body had heard a news like that before. Sri Lankan army was never challenged in that way. It was unbelievable. How dare the Tamils could do such a thing! There was no doubt whatsoever in anybodies mind. The culprits should be punished and punished heavily!
For the first time I saw Tamils as enemies. Most of the other people did too.

As a result came the riots and people took the law into their hands. Generations of friendships amongst Sinhalese and Tamils were forgotten within minutes. Tamils were punished on sight. No body was spared, irrespective of there social states. Scores of innocent people payed the ultimate price with their lives for the sins which were done hundreds of miles away by some unknown people.

At that time I believed that Tamils were getting what they deserved and didn't have any sympathy towards them. Looking back I feel ashamed of myself for even thinking like that.

Since then I have come a long way . So has the country too. Today looking at the Tamil IDPs our attitude towards them is totally reversed. Brings tears to my eyes when I see how much they have suffered. Nobody is spared. All of them look like walking skeletons. Deprived of all known basic needs in life. Ironically this time around they've been punished by their very own people who were once upheld as there patriotic saviors.

Instead of hate, love and sympathy is what we have towards them today. They are not our enemies any more.

Lessons were learnt.Time to put the things right. Everybody is ready for a new country. A country where all can live in harmony.Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims all as SriLankans.

BBC NEWS | England | Nottinghamshire | Foreign ban postmaster leaves job

Says it all

sequel to previous blog....

Foreign ban postmaster leaves job

A postmaster from Nottingham who refused to serve customers who could not speak English has left his job.

Mr Kumarasiri said most people supported him but a "small minority" launched a petition against him.

"I was forced out by a small minority of people who don't want to integrate into society," he said.

He claimed he was threatened and said Muslim leaders in the community started a petition against him, so he moved at his own request.

He said he would now work at a different branch.

"Serves him right for trying to be too smart. End of the story.

Post Office boss bans customers who don't speak English | The Sun |News

"AN IMMIGRANT postmaster has BANNED customers who cannot speak English — so they learn the language.

Sri Lankan-born Deva Kumarasiri said: “If you come to Britain you have got to speak English. It’s as simple as that."

Video Link http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7950914.stm

Why am I interested in this?

It is not because the man is a Sri Lankan. What is curious here is how people would interpret this in light of racism.

The comments people have made in response to this were very interesting.

Most of the ethnic minority have disgustingly rejected his way of thinking, the obvious reaction.

But even more interestingly, the majority of British people who have commented on this have gone even further to label him as a racist !

There comes the confusion! Is this man a Britisher or a Sri Lankan for him to become a racist against the ethnic minorities?

My answer is he is even British than an average Britisher.

He has come to this country 18 years back and now is a legal British citizen.He has a British flag mounted on his car and also has one hanging in front of his house. He even runs his own web site called http://www.britishnessforever.co.uk/. where the head banner runs the slogan;

"Let’s fly the British Flag to honour our brave Soldiers and to say we are proud to be British"

Brits have lot to learn from him !

This man has severed all of his old roots and got himself replanted in this country with all of his heart and soul.He is not a Sri Lankan anymore!

Now I don't blame him for that. He is living by the principles that he think is right. He became a hardcore Brit and making a big effort to show it to the world.

The question is, in spite of what ever he does, will he ever be accepted as an equal by his other "fellow Britishers" in this life time?

Answer lies in the part of the article that I have quoted..

There he is still an "immigrant post master - Sri Lankan born Deva Kumarasiri......"

I feel sorry about you.

Define Human

These are some of the horrific pictures I received today of poor innocent people who were brutally murdered by LTTE in north. They have received this ultimate punishment for trying to escape from the war zone in north of Sri Lanka.
Some of them had been shot and others were allegedly burnt alive, obviously giving a strong message for the other civilians who are trapped in their area.

These murderers, the self appointed saviors of Tamils in Sri Lanka, can we call them humans? These are their own people, the very people who they say they are fighting for!

Forget about the killings. Have you seen the status of the innocent people who have already escaped from their grip? Suffering is written all over them. Malnourished, robbed and deprived of all the defined basic facilities of the civilized world. They suffer heavily at the hands of their own saviors.

When does the Tamil diaspore is going to realize these facts and stand against this murderous clan, the LTTE ?

Aching Heart

Away from my people, away from my country my heart is aching. I go to bed thinking about my country and wake up every morning thinking about the same. To touch that dry soil, to smell the aroma of green leaves, to hear the  songs of  flowing streams.... or how I  love it. I would give anything to get away from this ever running world and get in to the womb of my beloved motherland back again. The most beautiful place in the world..... the one, the best....

Sri Lanka.....

Thats my country and where I belong. That is where my every single breath goes.

Circumstances dragged me into this part of the world  years back. I work here, eat here and sleep here. But I do not live here.

Sri Lanka, that's where I live, at least in my heart.
Don't ask me why I don't go back if I so wanted to. I can't. Not now. But one day I will go back. Just the mere thought of going back brings joy into my heart.

I know I am not the only one. There are a lot of sons, husbands and fathers just like me. And a lot of daughters, wives and mothers as well . Living so close yet so far away from our countries.

I make this little note a tribute to all of them. If you think like me come and share your thoughts.....!

Welcome

Hello everybody. Welcome to my blog. For me, this is a way of broadcasting my thoughts, in  a way which will give me some inner peace.

For you, for the time I don't know which way this is gonna help you. But with time I will make this more interesting and fruitful so that anybody who wish to join in can share and gain something out of this.
